The first ever Charity Finance Week, a dedicated week of events, content and thought leadership, has been announced for October.

Organised by Civil Society Media, Charity Finance Week will celebrate excellence in charity finance practice, opening with a parliamentary drinks reception held in the House of Lords. The week will close with the Charity Finance Summit, which is the key learning and networking event for charity finance teams.

Julian Chislett, chief executive of Civil Society Media, said: "We are delighted to be launching Charity Finance Week. We see on a regular basis the vital role that charity finance professionals and their advisers play in building a resilient and dynamic charity sector, and wanted to give them the recognition they deserve.

"At the same time, the job of building and enhancing financial capability in the charity sector never ends, and Charity Finance Week will act as an essential resource for charity finance professionals and trustees."

Taking place from the 8th until the 12th of October 2018, Charity Finance Week will work with charities, academic institutions and key professional service providers to debate and tackle the biggest issues head on. It is an opportunity to focus on the challenges charities face, showcase their successes and consider their impact.

Nathan Baranowski, director at Ojo Solutions, who are sponsoring an IT event during Charity Finance Week (details of which will be announced shortly), said: “We are proud to be sponsoring the first ever Charity Finance Week which will be a great celebration of the work that charity IT finance professionals do. We look forward to showcasing innovations within the sector and the best in thought leadership.”
