In 2021, the UK census revealed that less than 50% of the UK population considered themselves to be a Christian for the first time. But despite their falling numbers, Christians still play a significant role when it comes to charitable giving. A 2017 report from TMH Media, Europe’s largest Christian advertising agency, found that 87% of Christians regularly donated to charity, compared to 61% of the UK population. However, little research has been done into the UK Christian giving landscape.

The inaugural Stewardship Generosity Report 2024 was commissioned to help us and our partners, including over 6,000 charity leaders, better understand how much UK Christians are giving, what they think about generosity, and what the drivers are behind their decisions to give (or not give).
