When did you decide to become a fundraiser?

From a very young age, I always had an interest in people’s behaviour, so I went on to study psychology. At college I joined the Students’ Union and was mostly organising events or campaigns, and attending conferences. The two worlds of psychology and events organisation collided to create a love of fundraising. From there, I started volunteering at a number of organisations and decided that fundraising was the place for me. 

What is the best thing about your job?

I hope my days of being actively involved in people’s fundraising journeys are only just beginning. I love the idea of having this army of amazing people who are so enthusiastic about funding a cause. I think it’s important that we don’t get stuck behind our desks both mentally and physically, and occasionally we join a sponsored walk or a bake sale.
