How has the current crisis impacted your fundraising?

Like all charities, we have been hit quite badly in a few areas of fundraising, especially community and events, where our forecast income is now at almost zero. More heartbreakingly, we have an amazing special events programme aimed at mid-to-high value donors, but of course, we have had to cancel all face-to face elements.

We are forecasting that legacies will see the biggest drop in income in the year, but we think that is due to a slowdown in legacy notifications because of administrative delays during lockdown. So it is more a deferment than a genuine loss, although it does hit cash flow.
