The cover theme for October's Fundraising Magazine is safeguarding, and it looks at whether the international development charities that were rocked by scandals relating to sexual misconduct and poor safeguarding are now heading in the right direction with their fundraising.
This month's magazine also includes the results of the Charity Shops Survey 2018, which shows that profits are up while the number of stores opening is down.
There is also a case study on WaterAid's Untapped Campaign, and how how it raised £8m by telling one village's story, and one from Cure Parkinson's Trust's art-based fundraiser which looks to raise £250,000.
Elsewhere in the magazine is an interview with Jhumar Johnson, head of development at The Open University, who has overseen the organisation's first fundraising campaign. There is also an article on how to make opt-in work.
