Church of England – Conservation grants scheme

Grants available: Up to £10,000.
Deadline to apply: Several deadlines: 31 March, 7 April; 2 June; 9 June; 19 June and 11 August.
Who is the funding for? The Church of England has opened applications for the first stage of its enlarged conservation grants scheme, which aims to support the work of parishes in conserving their historical and cultural buildings. Several grants to be administered over five years as part of the £4.68m scheme. All grants, except those for church plate, offer up to £10,000.
When will you hear back? Around eight weeks after the application deadline.

York St John University’s Institute for Social Justice – Community research grants

Grants available: Up to £10,000.
Deadline to apply: Noon on 28 March.
Who is the funding for? Voluntary, charity, and social enterprise (VCSE) groups across Yorkshire and the Humber can now apply for funding and an academic support package to boost their community work. The programme matches successful applicants with university-based researchers who will be funded to work in partnership to undertake the research. Priority will be given to those that have “a strong community-led ethos and/or incorporate significant community participation”. 
When will you hear back? Shortlisted proposals will be shared with York St John University researchers and initial matches made in April.

Security Industry Authority – Grants for good causes

Grants available: The full funding amount will be confirmed in due course. 
Deadline to apply: 21 February.
Who is the funding for? The Security Industry Authority is offering confiscated cash to charities and community interest companies that have projects aimed at improving public safety and supporting private security. The money comes from criminals through proceeds of crime confiscation orders. In previous years, the programme has funded projects including human trafficking awareness workshops, employment and training opportunities for disadvantaged groups and training for volunteers in emergency first response care.
When will you hear back? Successful applicants will be notified by 7 March.

Masonic Charitable Foundation – Grants to charities

Grants available: Unrestricted grants (£1,000-£5,000 per year spread over one to three years) and project grants (£10,000-£60,000 spread over one to three years).
Who is the funding for? Masonic Charitable Foundation’s charity grants programme is open to registered charities in England and Wales working with one of its four main priority groups. These are improving the health and wellbeing of older people with dementia and their carers; early years (0-5) with a focus on poverty and neglect; children affected by domestic abuse; and children with special educational needs and disabilities.
