At the Charity Commission, we know that trustees take their responsibilities very seriously, driven by a passion for their charity’s cause. Most trustees do this in their spare time, working for free to ensure their charity delivers on its purpose. We applaud trustees for this and their continued positive impact on society as a whole.

But we are also very aware that it’s not always easy for trustees to refresh their knowledge on their responsibilities. We know that most trustees work hard to get things right. We’re keen to help trustees to keep their knowledge up to date and avoid some of the mistakes and issues that might necessitate our involvement.
