Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now have now legally merged and appointed six directors to lead the organisation.
The new directors are Dr Emma Pennery, Fiona Hazell, Polly McGivern, Steve Lucas, Dr Simon Vincent and David Crosby and they will cover roles from finance to communications.
It comes after the merger was announced in November 2018. The merger was completed with the directors taking up their posts on 1 April 2019.
Delyth Morgan, chief executive of Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now, said: “I’m delighted to announce the appointment of a united team of senior leaders for the new charity.
"All of the directors bring a wealth of experience and expertise in the sector, as well as a dedication to and passion for making a difference for people affected by breast cancer, now and in the future.”
“This is an exciting time for the newly merged charity and we’ve lots of work ahead of us. I very much look forward to working with the newly appointed directors who will drive forward the work of the new charity.”
Breast Cancer Now launched in 2015, merged from Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer. Breast Cancer Care was launched in 1973.
The new charity plans to have an income of around £45m.
