Cancer Research UK is set to expand its flagship £1 charity store across the country following its success in Oxford.

The Cancer Research UK £1 store, which is based on the site of a former MFI and Halfords store, sells all items for £1. The outlet store sells items which have failed to sell ath Cancer Research's other 550 shops around the country. It has raised £87,000 for the charity since it opened last August.

Store manager Jason Moody told the Oxford Mail: “They are talking of opening one in Scotland and another in England.

“They will probably want to roll it out more widely, it has been very successful.”

The Oxford outlet Cancer Research UK store was part of a pilot project for the charity.
