Charity Finance Group has appointed Simon Hopkins, chief executive of Turn2us, Arati Patel, director of finance and operations at Barts Charity, and Liz Fozury, chief operating officer at the Royal National Theatre, as its new trustees.
The three trustees have been elected to replace Diane Bassett, Kevin Barnes and former chair Ian Theodoreson who have stepped down after reaching their maximum six years on the CFG board.
Rosie Chapman will also step down after reaching the end of her six year tenure, but will remain involved as a member of CFG’s Nomination Committee. Her replacement will be selected by trustees at a later date.
CFG's chair-designate Nicki Deeson, who starts as chair next month, said: “I am grateful to all members who voted in recent elections; your engagement with CFG is so important to us. I am delighted to be welcoming in three new member elected trustees to replace three colleagues who come to the end of their second terms.
“We bid a fond farewell and offer our sincere thanks to Diane Bassett, Kevin Barnes and Ian Theodoreson who have served the charity wonderfully over the last 6 years and have all held office at one time or another. We are thrilled to welcome Simon Hopkins, chief executive of Turn2us, Arati Patel, director of finance and operations at Barts Charity and Liz Fozbury, the chief operating officer at the Royal National Theatre and former independent member of our finance and audit committee.
“We also offer huge thanks to Rosie Chapman, who has served two terms as an appointed trustee of CFG. I’m pleased to say that we don’t need to say goodbye as Rosie will continue to lend us her expertise as part of our nomination committee. Plans to appoint Rosie’s successor are in place.”
Deeson is international finance director at Amnesty International and was vice-chair of CFG.
CFG has a board of ten trustees with seven out of the ten needing to be CFG members, allowing the board to appoint a further three non CFG member trustees.
They have all been elected for a three-year term with the possibility of re-election for another three years.
