Cancer Research UK has redesigned its Race for Life brand ahead of the 2013 fundraising runs.

CRUK advised it wishes to strengthen the connection between Race for Life - the largest women-only fundraising event series outside of the US - and its master brand, which itself undertook a re-brand earlier this year.

The charity hopes that the new race brand (pictured) will "help drive greater participation in the series and make it feel more relevant and inspiring to all of the women, their families and friends who unite through Race for Life".

In a statement, head of Race for Life Emma Hyatt said: “2013 sees the beginning of a new chapter for Race for Life, Cancer Research UK’s flagship event.

“We feel that now is the time to refresh Race for Life to make it more relevant to our audiences, to build that sense of community between like-minded people and cement the link to Cancer Research UK and its groundbreaking research.

“We really hope that the new brand will help us to attract new sponsors who will see Race for Life as an attractive new proposition. By securing new corporate sponsors for the series, the charity will be able to drive forward the success of Race for Life and help Cancer Research UK continue to raise vital funds for life-saving research into cancer.”
