British Heart Foundation Shops has announced a new partnership with Currys and PC World meaning that people who donate electrical items in July will receive a 5 per cent off voucher to spend in the electrical retailers.
The charity is hoping to collect 100,000 unwanted, but still working, items to be sold in BHF’s 120 furniture and electrical stores. Donations can be made at any BHF shop, Currys or PC World.
BHF retail director Mike Lucas said: “We are delighted that Currys and PC World are supporting our new campaign. We can now offer people over 1,000 places to donate.”
People who donate items will also be entered into prize draw to win £1,000 worth of electrical equipment as well as the 5 per cent off voucher when they spend more than £50 on anything in store.
Furniture and electrical stores accept items such as blenders, lamps and power tools.
The campaign is part of the charities 50th anniversary celebrations.
