Jingle Jam

An annual festive livestreaming event has reported raising £2.67m for charities this year.

Jingle Jam, which claims to be the world’s biggest charity games event, ran from 1 to 14 December this year and involved the UK’s biggest Twitch streamers raising money for eight charities including War Child UK and the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).

Itself a charity, Jingle Jam was set up in 2011 by hosts of YouTube gaming channel Yogscast Simon Lane and Lewis Brindley and has raised over £25m since then.

On social media, Jingle Jam posted: “That’s officially a wrap on #JingleJam2024! Together, we raised £2,673,841 for our eight charity partners.

“Thank you to all our amazing fundraisers, games publisher and developer partners who donated keys, our volunteer team, and you at home for tuning in and contributing!”

Overall, over $400m (around £319m) was raised for various charitable causes on livestreaming platform Twitch last year.
