Charities should consider the negative difference they make, along with the positive, suggests Inspiring Impact in its newly-released draft Code of Good Impact Practice.
Inspiring Impact is a coalition of 17 organisations aiming to provide the charity sector with clear leadership on impact measurement over the next decade.
Today it has launched a consultation on its Code of Good Impact Practice, which provides broad guidelines on a shared sector approach to impact measurement.
The draft Code of Good Impact Practice sets out 8 principles for what it calls “good impact practice”, which includes considering the full range of the difference your organisation makes: positive and negative and actively sharing impact measurement plans, methods findings and learning with other organisations.
NCVO, a member of Inspiring Impact, is running the consultation on the Code, which can be found here.
