The Institute of Fundraising has announced that it has changed the venue of its annual National Fundraising Convention from the London Hilton Metropole to the Barbican Centre.

In a statement released on Monday, the IoF confirmed that it would be holding the 2016 convention at the Barbican Centre, moving from the London Hilton Metropole where the event has been held for the last 10 years.

According to the IoF’s statement, the move to the bigger Barbican Centre will allow the Convention to “attract more fundraisers than ever before”.

The conference will be held between 4 and 6 July. The IoF hopes to attract more than the 2,500 delegates, who came to the convention in 2015.

Liz Tait, chair of the National Fundraising Convention Board said, “We’re incredibly excited to be moving National Fundraising Convention to the Barbican Centre next year. This fantastic new venue gives us a chance to build on the successes of recent years and add some exciting new elements to the experience as well”.

Sir Nicholas Kenyon, managing director of the Barbican Centre, said: "We're delighted to be welcoming the fundraising community to the Centre for the IoF National Fundraising Convention in 2016. This promises to be an innovative learning experience, and we look forward to hosting it here.”
