The Institute of Fundraising has published a consultation document for its members as part of the organisation finalising its strategic priorities for 2016-2020.
The Institute of Fundraising Strategic Priorities 2016-2020, circulated amongst IoF members today, highlights three key ways in which the organisation believes it can achieve its vision of “excellent fundraising for a better world”.
The document says that the IoF should be “championing and promoting excellent fundraising”; “being an influential voice for the fundraising community” and be “enabling fundraisers to be the best they can be”.
The document also calls for the IoF members to offer views and strategies on how help the organisation in “increasing public trust and confidence” and “increasing giving” from the public.
According to Mike Smith, head of media and public affairs for the Institute of Fundraising, the circulation of the document will coincide with the launch of a digital consultation for IoF members which has also opened today.
Consultation sessions will also be held with the IoF’s national and regional groups as part of their general meetings, said Smith.
Smith said that the consultation process will conclude by the end of August, in order to give the IoF’s board time to consider the views of its members, before finalising the organisations strategic priorities for the next five years.
The final strategic priorities will be published by the IoF in September.
