In the summer of 2015 high-profile youth charity Kids Company collapsed amid a raft of allegations about how it was run. In the wake of its collapse two Parliamentary committees set up inquires to look at why successive governments continued to fund the charity. The Insolvency Service has been charged with winding up the organisation and the Charity Commission's statutory inquiry is ongoing.
