Marie Curie Cancer Care is set to embark on a rebrand, joining the ranks of other household name charities which have freshened their identities over recent years.
The cancer charity has recently posted a job advertisement for a project manager to oversee brand production. The charity indicated the new position will oversee an "extensive brand transformation programme" which will include a new visual identity.
A spokesman for Marie Curie told civilsociety.co.uk that the brand transformation will be a long process, and that it is too early in that process for the charity to make any comment.
The brand production project manager position salary is advertised as £35,000, but the cost and extent of the rebrand will likely take some time to be finalised.
Marie Curie's impending rebrand follows that of other charities in the cancer field, including Cancer Research UK, Prostate Cancer UK and Breast Cancer Care, which have refreshed their brands to various extents over the past few years.
Marie Curie Cancer Care is listed in 26th place in the Charity 100 Index which ranks charities based on a three-year average of income.
