Equality charity Stonewall has today revealed its new website and has added the tagline “acceptance without exception” to its logo to emphasise its commitment to change.

The charity’s new website integrates all of its sites – Stonewall Scotland, Stonewall Cymru and Young Stonewall – into the one page. It features clearer designs and easier search functions, and a new information structure to “enable better more intuitive navigation and a responsive design”. It has also updated its mobile website.

Stonewall has also added its new tagline to its star logo, to demonstrate its “commitment to making real change to ensure everyone, everywhere is free to be themselves”.

The content on the website, which was designed by digital creative agency Catch Digital following a competitive pitch, has been “refreshed” to make information more engaging and clear, and the charity will be developing new film and photo content to “ensure the site is fully accessible”.

It now also hosts Stonewall’s library of research and publications in a new format so they are easier to brose and download.

The website has a new section called “Stonewall Says” which will communicate the charity’s views on news, recent trends and issues affecting LGBT people. It will also work as a “spotlight on Stonewall volunteers to celebrate their achievements and demonstrate the benefits of volunteering as well as encouraging others to get involved”. stonewall_new_logo_2015_250.jpg

Stonewall said that as part of this commitment, it is “strengthening its networks and developing deeper relationships with people from ethnic minorities, faith-based groups and those who live in rural communities to secure equality for all”.

Stonewall would not reveal how much the new website cost the charity.
