Richard Hawkes will say that the sector’s leaders need to change if charities are to thrive, in his closing keynote at this year’s Charity People & Culture conference, organised by Civil Society Media.
Hawkes, who is currently the chief executive of British Asian Trust and has experience leading people in a diverse range of charities, will reflect on the need for radical change at the conference which takes place on 20 September 2017.
Victoria Milligan will open the day with an inspiring talk about overcoming adversity after her family were involved in a tragic boating accident - leaving her an amputee, widow and single parent.
The programme for this year’s conference includes sessions on employment law, leadership and people development.
There will also be a panel on creating inspiring workplaces and case studies from Concern Worldwide and the Wellcome Trust.
