Russell Prior, who for six years has led the Charities Aid Foundation's enterprise and philanthropy development, is to leave in June to develop HSBC bank's philanthropy proposition.

Returning to the private banking sector, where he has previously spent 20 years as a director at Barclays, Prior is excited by the prospect of transferring his experience at CAF to influence wider society:

"CAF is a great organisation and I am delighted by what I have been able to achieve. It has been a privilege to have been supported by such a strong team," he said.

"There's a tremendous opportunity to develop philanthropy here in the UK and internationally, and I am looking forward to taking on this challenge with HSBC Private Bank."

During his time at CAF, Prior not only facilitated the growth of the organisation's activities in philanthropy, corporate giving and financial services, but led the growth of CAF's International Network, which has trebled the amount of funds donated for charities over the past five years.
