Civil Society Media is delighted to announce that this year's Charity Awards will be presented by actor and comedian Stephen Frost.
Frost is a seasoned veteran of the alternative comedy scene, with 20 years of Glastonbury festivals and 30 years of Edinburgh festivals under his belt. He's notched up TV appearances on The Young Ones, Saturday Live, Mr Bean, and as a panellist on Have I Got News for You and Whose Line is it Anyway? He was also the overly cheerful leader of the firing squad sent to shoot Rowan Atkinson's character in the second episode of Blackadder Goes Forth ("bit of a gabbler, me").
As one half of the Oblivion Boys double act with Mark Arden, Frost had a regular spot on Saturday Live, and the duo spent seven years fronting Carling Black Label TV commercials. Perhaps most memorable was their pastiche of the Levi's laundrette advert where he and Arden protected their modesty only with strategically placed books.
Nowadays Stephen tours constantly with his own improvisation show, the Stephen Frost Improv Allstars, and performs regularly in New York with Mike Myers and Eddie Izzard.
For the last ten years he has compered the main stage at Bestival on the Isle of Wight.
He is a regular guest with Comedy Store Players at the Comedy Store in London and can sometimes be spotted hosting the pub quiz at the Hob pub in Forrest Hill.
The Charity Awards gala dinner and presentation ceremony will be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London's Park Lane on the evening of 12 June. If you wish to host a table to entertain your key clients, please contact Phil Bishop on 020 7819 1215.
The shortlist will be announced on Tuesday 6 May. You can follow the Charity Awards dedicated Twitter feed @Charity_Awards.
