Jacqueline Davies succeeds David Isaac as chair of gay and bisexual campaigning charity Stonewall, following her elected appointment on Tuesday night.
Davies takes a step up from trustee at the charity to take the helm. In her professional career she is head of talent performance and resourcing at Barclays Global Retail Bank since 2010 and has provided leadership consultancy in the public and private sectors for a number of years. Davies is also author of The Truth About Talent, and mother to a three-year-old daughter with her partner Tania.
Supporting Davies as deputy chair is Neil Bentley who takes over from Liz Grant who has served in the role since 2005.
Isaac was chair at Stonewall for nine years, the maximum length of time the charity allows, having served three three-year terms.
Ben Summerskill, chief executive at Stonewall said: "Both David and his deputy Liz Grant have provided inspirational leadership since we formally became a charity in 2003. Every one of our staff and volunteers is hugely grateful to them and also delighted about Jacqueline's appointment."
Stonewall has a board of ten and employs 60 staff across Scotland, England and Wales.
