Severn Trent Water: Our Community Fund

Grants available: £2,000 – £200,000.
Deadline to apply: 11 August.
Who is the funding for?
Local charities, volunteer and community groups, schools, colleges and local authority or parish councils in the Severn Trent Water region can apply for grants to support new local community projects. The funding is being made available to projects that support healthier lifestyles and skills development, projects that help create better places for communities and projects that improve access to and promote a healthier natural environment, including the preservation of water.

Government: VCSE Energy Efficiency Scheme

Grants available: £2,000 – £150,000.
Deadline to apply: 14 August.
Who is the funding for?
Funding is for organisations to implement recommended independent energy assessment measures to reduce their building’s energy costs and support the delivery of frontline services. Applicant organisations must be a VCSE based in England and delivering frontline services. They must be able to demonstrate that they are financially sustainable, require support around energy and are not suitable for blended finance or loan support through other schemes.

Benefact Group: Movement for Good 2024

Grants available: Up to £10,000.
Deadline to apply: 2 August.
Who is the funding for?
Charities supporting education and skills, rural or community development, heritage, arts or culture, and climate change or environment are invited to apply. The funding can be used within three years and for a blend of project and core funding costs.

Kent Community Foundation: Care Leavers Fund

Grants available: Up to £7,500.
Deadline to apply: 15 July.
Who is the funding for?
Grants to small charitable organisations based in Kent and Medway with an annual income under £3m. The grants will be awarded for projects supporting young care levers including, mentoring, therapy, counselling and peer support, care leaver sessions, practical advice and training to support care leavers to set up home, gain confidence, experience, life skills and help reach their potential.
