A summary of the latest announcements about grant programmes available to charities

The Scotch Whisky Action Fund

Grants available: up to £25,000
Deadline to apply: 25 April 2022
Who is the funding for?
Foundation Scotland has released the Scotch Whisky Action Fund, which is aimed at charities and non-profit organisations that tackle alcohol-based harm in Scotland communities. To date, the fund has awarded over £940,000 to over 70 projects. 

Projects that secure the funding and can demonstrate it has made an impact after its first day may be able to receive further funding for up to three years.

Recovery Loan Fund

Grants available: up to £2m
Deadline to apply: 20 May 2022
Who is the funding for?
The Recovery Loan Fund has been extended so it is now accepting applications until May. Charities and non-profit organisations are welcome to apply for the government-guaranteed loans. 

It will be backing charities that want to adapt delivery models, diversify income streams, manage cash flow, or purchase new technology. 

BAME-led organisations will be able to apply for loans upwards of £50,000.

The Earls Court Development Company

Grants available: up to £15,000
Deadline to apply: 30 May 2022
Who is the funding for? 
The funding is aimed at formally registered non-profit organisations in the Earls Court, London or organisations that work to benefit the lives of the people living there. 

The grant should be used to fund projects that encourage community spirit, health and wellbeing and help young people.

BBC Children in Need – We Move: Youth Social Action Fund

Grants available: Up to £50,000 over 18 months
Deadline to apply: 10 June 2022
Who is the funding for?
The funding is aimed at non-profit organisations who work with Black children and young people aged 18 and under in the United Kingdom. Organisations have until 10 June 2022 to register their interest and until 20 June to submit an application.

Grants will be awarded in August.

Digital Inclusion Fund – Kent Community Foundation

Grants available: up to £10,000
Deadline to apply: 30 June 2022
Who is the funding for?
The fund is open for applications from charitable organisations across Kent and Medway that are aiming to reduce digital exclusion. 
Projects could support disadvantaged young people, the elderly or vulnerable adults access IT training and skills development. The grants could also cover the costs of technology or the upgrading of IT systems.

Morrisons Foundation

Grants available: up to £25,000
Deadline to apply: rolling basis
Who is the funding for?
Morrisons Foundation will award grants to charities registered with the Charity Commission or OSCR that are aiming to help vulnerable people. 

The foundation will not support grant requests related to animal charities, the promotion of political and/or religious messages or support of ongoing service delivery.

When will you hear back?
Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis.
