London Community Foundation – Violence Against Women and Girls Cost of Living Fund

Who is the funding for?
Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime is giving out grants of between £10,000 - £30,000 to be distributed by the London Community Foundation. It will fund organisations with an annual income of up to £500,000 that support victims of violence against women and girls in any London borough. Priority will be given to specialist led services supporting Black women and girls from minority ethnic backgrounds, women and girls with disabilities, neuro-diverse or LGBT+ women and girls, young or old women and women with no recourse to public funds. Preference will be given to organisations whose work insects between these priority groups.

Heart Research UK
Grants available: £15,000

Who is the funding for?
Community groups that are helping local people look after their hearts can apply for grants of up to £15,000 for projects working with adults to promote health hearts and the aim of reducing the risk of heart disease in the community.
Opening dates for applications will be staggered, with Wales being the first to open on the 30 March with a closing date of 27 April. England opens for applications 11 May and closes on 8 June. Applications for Scotland open on 6 July and close on 3 August. Those for Northern Ireland open on 17 August and close on 14 September.

Big Give
Grants available: Match funding

Who is the funding for?
Big Give is launching its Women and Girls match fund campaign where they will be seeking to support charities with relevant causes. Commencing for a week on 11 October, International Day of the Girl, Big Give will match funding whatever is given to a charity on the platform. Alex Day, managing director of the Big Give, said the campaign aims to provide funds to charities facing issues towards women and girls such as “domestic abuse, gender inequality in the workplace and period poverty”.
