Now in its sixth round of funding, SSE and Power to Change are keen to support early-stage community businesses that are led by mostly young people (16 – 35 years old), led by a team who are from a racialised or minoritised community, or located in and supporting a deprived community.
The scheme is delivered in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Liverpool.
Caspar Kennerdale from ClearCommunityWeb, a company that received a place on the programme, said: “Participating in the programme has really helped us define and now shape our business so that we can get on with building upon our impact. We have been able to step back, review and focus. We didn’t realise how powerful this could be.”
