Greggs Foundation – Community Grants programme

Who is the funding for? The focus areas are usually based in areas close to Greggs Outlets and in areas of social deprivation. For the current funding round, eligible community organisations based in or delivering services in the areas of Middlesborough, Darlington, Durham, London (NW1) and Tilbury can apply. Additional eligibility criteria include the not-for-profit organisation having an annual income of between £25,000 and £1,000,000 in its most recent accounts; having at least one set of annual accounts; a board of at least three unrelated trustees or directors, and having a safeguarding policy in place.

Groundwork – Community Builders’ Fund

Who is the funding for? The Community Builders Fund is available to charities and social enterprises across England, Wales and Scotland. This could be for many different reasons, for example, reducing carbon emissions, energy cost savings, upgrading energy efficiency ratings to meet future regulations, increasing the use or comfort of buildings and replacing older vehicles and equipment with modern energy-efficient versions.

Who is the funding for? Voluntary or community organisations in England. The NLCF will prioritise projects which support places, people or communities experiencing poverty, disadvantage or discrimination, and which meaningfully involve communities in steering the project. All organisations applying will have to demonstrate how they plan to reach people who find it hardest to access support, and how communities are involved in their project – including in the leadership of the organisation, participation, and voice.
