National Lottery Community Fund – The UK Fund

Grants available: £500,000 - £5m
Deadline to apply: Rolling deadline
Who is the funding for?
The project funder is looking for applications from UK-based registered charities, community interest companies and more, that are working on projects that will benefit UK communities. 
NLCF states it is unlikely to fund projects that only focus on delivering services or whose activities plan to exist wholly online. 
The funder said it can pay for staff costs, volunteer expenses and more.

Social Investment Business – Thrive Together Fund

Grants available: £25,000 – £150,000 (25% grant)
Deadline to apply: 31st October 2026
Who is the funding for?
The fund will provide a package of 75% loan and 25% grant to eligible small and medium-sized charities and social enterprises based in England. 
Applicants must be delivering impact in England and have a minimum turnover of £100,000 in their latest financial year and a minimum of two years’ operating activity. 
The repayment term is one to six years and there is an interest rate of 2% per annum. 
When will you hear back?
Applicants will receive a response to initial applications within five working days.

HMRC – Voluntary and Community Sector Grant Funding programme

Grants available: £30,000 - £600,000 per year
Deadline to apply: 21 August
Who is the funding for?
With a funding pool of £5.5m, HMRC will be awarding grants to organisations that support those who may need extra support with their taxes. 
The three-year programme will run from April 2024 to March 2027 and will fund organisations providing advice and support to customers who need help complying with their tax obligation.
HMRC writes: "We are looking for VCS organisations to help customers to form or rebuild a relationship with HMRC that enables them to engage directly with us in the future."

October.
