Chief executive
Beverley Jacobson has been appointed as the new chief executive of Jewish charity Norwood. Jacobson joins from learning disability charity Kisharon, where she was chief executive for 10 years. She will take over from former chief executive Elaine Kerr.
Fundraising and communications
Paul Vanags has announced that he will be leaving his role as head of public fundraising at Oxfam, to become director of fundraising at War Child. Vanags has been at Oxfam for over a decade, and his role will be filled on an interim basis by Paul Langley.
Catherine Deakin has been appointed the new director of fundraising and communications of facial disfigurement charity Changing Faces. Deakin joins the charity from Tommy’s and has over a decade’s worth of experience in the voluntary sector, including roles at Girlguiding and Hospice UK.
Non executive
British Paralympian Nikki Emerson has been appointed director of London Marathon Events, following the departure of Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson. Emerson, who represented Team GB at the 2012 Paralympic Games, currently works as a business development manager with The Premier League.
The Fundraising Regulator has appointed Kieron James as its new board member. James will take up his new role on 18 July. He is the founder of online giving platform Wonderful Organisation, and previously founded the free telephone conference service WhyPay? Prior to that, James worked in IT.
