Our weekly summary of the latest movers in the charity sector.
Chief executive
David Burrell has been appointed as the chief executive of Primrose Hospice. Burrell is currently deputy chief operating officer at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. Prior to that, he was a clinician and senor manager and director at the NHS.
The National Housing Federation has appointed Kate Henderson as its new chief executive. Henderson is currently chief executive of the Town and Country Planning Association. She will take up her new role in the autumn, replacing David Orr.
Non executive
Children’s disability charity Family Fund has appointed Neil Scott as its new chair of the board of trustees. Scott had previously served on the charity’s board as a trustee for the past three years. He is currently the chief financial officer at Aston University, and previously worked for Hull University, Marston and the Ford Motor Company. He replaces Ian Black who steps down from the charity, having completed his two terms.
The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) has appointed Tiger de Souza as a trustee. De Souza is currently the director of volunteering, participation and inclusion at the National Trust. Prior to that, he held senior roles with RICS, NSPCC and vInspired, as well as briefly setting up his own consultancy.
