World Vision chooses remote working solution from Signify

World Vision has opted for a hosted two-factor authentication (2FA) service from Signify to give mobile and field staff secure access to its networks.

In addition to logistical and operational information, World Vision staff have access to emails, documents and the charity’s Echo CRM.

Signify has provided nearly 200 members of World Vision staff with a small RSA SecurID token (pictured) – usually carried on a key ring - that produces a unique one-time passcode (OTP) every 60 seconds.

By using this along with their user name and PIN, World Vision staff can safely gain immediate access to the charity’s networks from anywhere in the world.

The 2FA solution is PCI DSS compliant to ensure donors’ card payment information is fully secure.

“RSA SecurID is a well recognised and trusted brand and we were really impressed with Signify’s credentials,” said Adrian Blair, IT project manager at World Vision.

“Getting them to manage and deploy the entire solution was a great fit for us because we simply didn’t have the resources to do it ourselves.

“Signify got us up and running very quickly and, as we launched the service just before Christmas, it delivered immediate benefits during the snow disruption when staff could not get in the office.”
