Alison Hone
Alison joined Saffery Champness in February 2003, having previously worked for a number of years as a compliance officer with HM Customs and Excise.
Alison is based in the London office and was appointed Senior Manager in the VAT department in October 2010. Alison’s work is wholly dedicated to the voluntary sector, dealing with VAT issues for charities and the not-for-profit sector.
Alison has a wide spectrum of clients including Oxfam, British Heart Foundation, Alzheimers Society, DebRA, Teenage Cancer Trust, Shelter and a number of wildlife trusts.
Alison was part of the team which secured the landmark victory in the case of the Children’s Society in 2005 and worked to secure VAT and interest repayments following the outcome of the case.
