Amanda Young
Amanda Young joined Newton in 2008 as SRI officer and focuses on the research, analysis and engagement of environmental and social issues facing the companies in which Newton invests.
She came to Newton from CCLA Investment Management, the specialist church and charity fund manager where she spent seven years analysing companies’ environmental, social and governance activities and performance.
Amanda started her career at Rabobank International in economic research after graduating from Lancaster University, with a BSC in psychology.
As part of her involvement in shaping the debate on responsible investment outside of Newton, Amanda has been a non-executive director of UKSIF, the UK sustainable investment and finance association since 2009.
