Neal Green
Neal Green is a senior policy advisor at the Charity Commission. His main current area of responsibility is charity governance.
He contributed to Good Governance, the Code for the Voluntary and Community Sector, and represents the Commission on the Code Steering Group. He co-wrote the Commission’s research and guidance on charities and public service delivery, contributed to guidance on campaigning and the CIO model constitutions.
More recently, he wrote It's Your Decision (decision-making for trustees), and is currently updating The Essential Trustee. He helped to instigate Trustees' Week, an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do.
Neal has produced guidance for exempt and excepted charities, and has advised several government departments about becoming principal regulators of exempt charities.
