In light of the impact of Covid-19 on the charity sector, we had previously removed some questions and simplified the annual Charity Shops Survey. Following feedback from charities, we decided to gradually rebuild the survey over the next few years by reinstating a number of questions. This year, in addition to the usual questions, we included a section on the impact of shoplifting.
The survey collected detailed data from 34 organisations, ranging from the country’s biggest charity shop network to a voluntary organisation that supplements its income with a single store.
