For the fifth day of Civil Society Media's 12 Days of Christmas, we feature Unicef's partnership with Andrex. Rate the campaign to win a hamper and a free place at one of our events.
A bathroom store in Kings Cross was fitted with a replica of toilets more commonly found in Angola to raise awareness of the fact that one in six people have a bathroom like that and highlight this month’s corporate fundraising activity by Andrex and Unicef.
The stunt was filmed by J. Walter Thompson to capture Christmas shoppers’ stunned responses to the juxtaposition of the filthy latrine with high-end luxury bathrooms. Watch it below.
Until the end of December promotional packs of Andrex toilet paper, available in Sainsburys, will be raising 25p per pack sold will go towards Unicef’s programme in Angola.
Andrex became one of Unicef’s corporate partners in 2014 and raised £250,000 for the charity last year.
