Macmillan’s Go Sober for October campaign launches next week, encouraging participants to give up alcohol for a month; in this film the charity highlights some of the advantages of not drinking alcohol.

The Go Sober campaign, which raised £2.3m from 30,000 participants in its inaugural year last October, sees participants collect sponsorship for not drinking alcohol during the month.

The campaign’s ‘Imagine 31 days without a hangover’ is an animated video depicting how “since the dawn of time, man has been drinking alcohol and since the day after, man has been getting hangovers”.

It shows the extent of people’s hangovers, from declaring that you’re never drinking again, to wondering why there is a goat in your kitchen.

The film goes on to show all the things you could do in 31 days without a hangover, such as going for a run and waking up without a kebab under your pillow. All while raising money for people facing cancer.
