The winners of NCVO's annual charity photo compeition were unveiled last week, with the entry from VSO winning the professional category and Tennis2Be coming top in the open competition.
There were 80 entries and a shortlist of 22 were judged by a panel which included Peter Kellner, chair of NCVO, Giselle Green, media coordinator for Constructive Voices, and Daniel Regan, award winning professional photographer and winner of NCVO’s 2016 photography competition.
Andrew Aitchison won the professional category for VSO, an international development charity, with his image of a paediatrician nurse volunteering with a newborn in Tanzania. Sophie Grant won the open category for Tennis2Be, a London-based tennis charity, with her photograph of young girls from the Bengali community taking part in a tennis programme.
